This past Thursday–the very last day of July–I had the good fortune to hang out with five very creative kids for a whole afternoon at my Summer Puppet-Making Workshop. We worked on a puppet script, created character puppets from all sorts of materials, and then practiced and performed the show for an audience of family members and friends. I always forget how energizing it is to be around kids this age–7-9 year olds. It’s only after I get home and come down from all that puppet and kid energy that I realize how exhausted I am! But it’s a good-tired and I can’t wait to do it again in December!
